“Will China Dominate Design?” However, there is another more sensational article in the issue -- "Designed in Italy? No, in China". It seems that China design, especially industrial design became the attention focus of the world at that time. In fact, the appraisal of China design in the article in Business Week is quite objective. Although industrial design in China has already made a considerable progress, it’s still at primary stage from the point of international view. Up till now, most works in China are still just to design the color and form for the existing products. China is a great export country, but much native produce design is from other places. To lead design, there is a long way in China.
